I was trying to teach her how to politely ask for apple juice. She kept saying "May I let me have apple juice please." I was trying to get her to stop saying "let me" She didn't believe she was saying it so I pulled out the camera and it's hilarious what we caught. Sorry the lighting is so horrible!</p>sarahgibbyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02915055583025538376noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1611757519816006061.post-52614684836768654292009-01-13T13:38:00.000-08:002009-01-14T08:46:22.639-08:00My Happy Family<div align="center">Myles got his first professional photos taken last week by Uncle Shaun. She is such a good big sis. If she could she'd take care of Myles all day long. Even change his diapers. Even after all we've gone through, I got really lucky with him. All my babies have been good but he's exceptional. I think that the six weeks we were apart from him really made him want to soak up the love and cuddling when he got home. He likes to sleep with me and I wouldn't have it any other way. I have to say it was quite a shock. I was only 29 weeks pregnant and still had 11 weeks to go! On Sunday, at around 1:30 in the morning, my water broke while in bed asleep. I awoke thinking I was peeing the bed! I sat up fast to run to the restroom and felt this huge gush of fluid. Still not <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">believing</span> what had happened I contemplated waking up Adam. <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3">Luckily</span> my brother, Shaun, was awake on the computer because when I went online to google symptoms of your water breaking I thought "no that's not what happened" and was going to go back to bed. I can't explain in words how I felt at that moment other than I thought I would never stop crying. How can I be on <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_5">bed rest</span> with two small children and a husband at home!<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5266892821634798466" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiz0H88x-IugyxrThyphenhyphenuaxQky6_4hfqybgaXhwu-Qll_MOiPaCQ1-exmzRvSWjgceu5g9GJJYMg2xpvT5yPT6V8PmRAb6L_2qPfYFwWr3xWAmoMBixwjHjloA3z8BU8UZ426txoDCknvzS8/s320/myles+036.JPG" border="0" />Three days after being in hell on <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_6">bed rest</span> at the hospital Myles J Gibby was born at 8:58 p.m. He wasn't <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_7">handling</span> my labor well at all so I ended up being put to sleep and awoke to have had a c-section and a baby that weighed 3 lbs 6 oz. It was hard not seeing him be delivered and Adam wasn't <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_8">allowed</span> in the room either. From the time his heart rate dropped, to getting him out of my belly was only 9 minutes. They moved very fast and I have the scars and bruises to show for it. I was just happy that he was <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_9">OK</span> and that my <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_10">bed rest</span> and not knowing what was going to happen was all over. <img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5266894870068795026" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEglFx1RWetwuACGUlIT8QOFd5lfJnaSIqp8-CoIeI-H-XN3CbjCpzFvaEof1XssI1DcKVs2-lTCpu4Y9_pf3FQ8EHzLEYyqxcOH2qevhtx-PviZn8nqXHDo9IGAkUfvpP6pgX4OcIvM6dc/s320/myles+016.JPG" border="0" />In this picture Myles looks like a little frog. Adam has enjoyed holding his little boy. He goes every night after work to put in some "skin-to-skin" time. That's what the N<span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_11">ICU</span> nurses call it. I have to tell you the guilt that I have felt because from the moment I found out I was having a boy I said "He better be a small baby" Journey was 8 lbs 3 oz and Addison was 9 lbs 2 oz so I was used to big babies and just wanted this one to come on his own and be a little smaller. We made a trip to San Diego to visit Sea World, the San Diego Zoo and Wildlife Park and the ocean. We had a blast despite the weather! It was cold and rainy but got better towards the end of our trip. Adam, me, the girls and Shaun drove and Kelly and her boyfriend Erich flew in and met us in San Diego.</div><br /><div align="center"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj26PVD1KJV1e4wcvUm3ONtSuNf-GV2aq2XEivuWwRHMCP44pGHB97M2qxMSeeEbSWBOu80lv92_6IwoCdIL1LEFlH1m5W3-sFhyphenhyphenJS3WeUjVTBASn81tXyOnebttxSkUOtHZptQ9dycn28/s1600-h/IMG_7385.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5257574225375071490" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj26PVD1KJV1e4wcvUm3ONtSuNf-GV2aq2XEivuWwRHMCP44pGHB97M2qxMSeeEbSWBOu80lv92_6IwoCdIL1LEFlH1m5W3-sFhyphenhyphenJS3WeUjVTBASn81tXyOnebttxSkUOtHZptQ9dycn28/s320/IMG_7385.jpg" border="0" /></a> Our first stop was this huge statue, which was by accident. We turned onto a side road to meet Kelly and her boyfriend, Erich, and found this lovely thing. The girls were very impressed. We couldn't get Adam away from her!<br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjxx3TdiQHQfAjiWauR3L3zywYmLKBT1ueR3LVeD8YpwL75RmIV4yj5F9iOZJXfAZPHhyDrNwFlGH1iIFYj7qYwLtAwL4WpPGEQCt5fzxFrAtrr4ZY8dk5CE-CDoRJNH_cLtTpqJd0t9Q/s1600-h/IMG_7418.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5257574237274512642" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjxx3TdiQHQfAjiWauR3L3zywYmLKBT1ueR3LVeD8YpwL75RmIV4yj5F9iOZJXfAZPHhyDrNwFlGH1iIFYj7qYwLtAwL4WpPGEQCt5fzxFrAtrr4ZY8dk5CE-CDoRJNH_cLtTpqJd0t9Q/s320/IMG_7418.jpg" border="0" /></a> Our next stop (after we went to breakfast) was Sea World. I loved it!! The whales and sea lions were my favorite. We went to Sea World twice this vacation and the second time was better because the rain had stopped and it wasn't so cold.<br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGSS5klCSAZ_8EdPwj-geSdNS956enQfce-gqZKK2OUKL4cnKcO51jaU4C3qO-cVXphjuYadmQZh4daBHIN8_rnxfk39cUPSvSHRXZqbY4GyPVZYcLG-FLxhnWffeh54gMCrj5xnX7Y3A/s1600-h/IMG_7470.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5257574242352691378" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGSS5klCSAZ_8EdPwj-geSdNS956enQfce-gqZKK2OUKL4cnKcO51jaU4C3qO-cVXphjuYadmQZh4daBHIN8_rnxfk39cUPSvSHRXZqbY4GyPVZYcLG-FLxhnWffeh54gMCrj5xnX7Y3A/s320/IMG_7470.jpg" border="0" /></a> The zoo was fun but a very big area to cover! My favorite part of our vacation. The ocean. This was the first time that I've got to swim in the ocean. It was still a little chilly, but that didn't stop us. After dipping her feet in, Addison had enough and went to sit with dad (who didn't care much to get in). After swallowing some water and almost throwing up, Journey was done. But Shaun and I stayed in for a while. My ears were freezing but the rest of me was fine. Until we got out!! Then we picked some seashells. Just a word of advice for any first-time seashell pickers. Don't bring home the shells that are still closed! There could be living things in them! My car smelled like fishy stuff for weeks!</div><div align="center"> </div><div align="center">Our trip came to an end but we got to do everything that we set out to. It was the best family vacation so far! Now if I could only get my passport so we could leave the country that would be even better! Thanks to Shaun for taking all our pictures and video!<br /><br /><br /></div>sarahgibbyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02915055583025538376noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1611757519816006061.post-17385095396446812912008-09-15T09:59:00.000-07:002008-09-15T11:23:14.208-07:00Happy Birthday Addison!!<div align="center"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMUwX9q3BaIpMtnB7QjYvsh1kHu0ntS3PRIN8jzutY43KE_uaMTfjj428gMi7brKmOFGBUERiOAn2xhJ43UEA_wR24F52ERcJirizhkjtnmW5TIqSP3XpdHs9Z07i7-L1FwhqO-dHOVV4/s1600-h/addie's+b-day+022.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5246295420709851026" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMUwX9q3BaIpMtnB7QjYvsh1kHu0ntS3PRIN8jzutY43KE_uaMTfjj428gMi7brKmOFGBUERiOAn2xhJ43UEA_wR24F52ERcJirizhkjtnmW5TIqSP3XpdHs9Z07i7-L1FwhqO-dHOVV4/s320/addie's+b-day+022.JPG" border="0" /></a> Addison is almost three years old. I can't believe it! Her birthday is on the 17th but we celebrated it on Sunday so her Dad could be there. This year I decided I would make my own birthday cake because I am sick of store-bought cakes. I searched online for an easy one to make and found this one. Addie loves butterflies so it worked out great. I have to say I was pretty happy with the way it turned out<br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjOA7Igsu5I4YlYYJcpL4KU-OkPYkYAMqXz2GdFCf4STHSJ_j7ChFyELjwYl7CaTP3ices3iqeGTPMXMKNtV7nAGI2G5tdVQtILxZukjFPGHNUe6oyNwImmCaOovB95D6aeV59NyufyVqw/s1600-h/addie's+b-day+008.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5246295425665197794" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjOA7Igsu5I4YlYYJcpL4KU-OkPYkYAMqXz2GdFCf4STHSJ_j7ChFyELjwYl7CaTP3ices3iqeGTPMXMKNtV7nAGI2G5tdVQtILxZukjFPGHNUe6oyNwImmCaOovB95D6aeV59NyufyVqw/s320/addie's+b-day+008.JPG" border="0" /></a>I'll admit that compared to the picture I got off the Internet on how it was supposed to look, mine looks a little like a bunch of kids made it but it tasted good and Adam, Journey and I had a blast making it.<br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhWKvi9guqfJb-PlaWbtHD1EpbkYny28JhiNv3WVyuO3SO7kd217ABymfuCspSR8zQAmH3h3FXJSVcC1lLuxmaKdhPqSbeL9betfT9YC7tKwInyoLt4sHXZNaPXNE66CuLhppc0QJgVgUE/s1600-h/addie's+b-day+009.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5246295430105557314" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhWKvi9guqfJb-PlaWbtHD1EpbkYny28JhiNv3WVyuO3SO7kd217ABymfuCspSR8zQAmH3h3FXJSVcC1lLuxmaKdhPqSbeL9betfT9YC7tKwInyoLt4sHXZNaPXNE66CuLhppc0QJgVgUE/s320/addie's+b-day+009.JPG" border="0" /></a> I put Adam and Journey to work blowing up the balloons. I was pretty picky when it came to my girls. All I bought for them was pink, pink, pink! Even so they were still called boys because they had no hair! I was truly expecting the words "It's a girl" but as you can see above it's a boy! The first words out of my mouth were "Oh my gosh, what am I going to do with a little boy?" We are totally excited and even though the girls each wanted something different, they were exstatic to hear that I have their little brother in my tummy.<br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhfUH1R7r4EDVjHC8a0hoL81JzMwaIfBiLHWalKbS62swhCxXpKsgIBaPajHzF0qlyIBuTCp2kqdmv5d7nJpKvLeaKR3K6LI1jZEwCQ59JgdIT-pR3HpJjVUBPyIycO93oS2jFGe1pBTqI/s1600-h/ultrasound2.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5239607287288551890" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhfUH1R7r4EDVjHC8a0hoL81JzMwaIfBiLHWalKbS62swhCxXpKsgIBaPajHzF0qlyIBuTCp2kqdmv5d7nJpKvLeaKR3K6LI1jZEwCQ59JgdIT-pR3HpJjVUBPyIycO93oS2jFGe1pBTqI/s320/ultrasound2.jpg" border="0" /></a> The baby has all ten fingers and toes and everything else looks great. Above is a little foot. I am hopeing for a little baby this time but the Dr. says probably not this one. As some of you know Journey was 8 lbs 3 oz and Addison was 9 lbs 2 oz. Adam is the one who always predicts the weight right on and for our little boy he is predicting 9 lbs 8 oz. It seems as though Journey was destined for school when she was born. She has always loved to teach herself new things. She has been asking "when will I start school" ever since she was two. She loves her class and her teacher although the other day stated that she was upset because "all we are learning how to do is our colors and letters. I already know all that. I want to learn how to write words and read them!" She's growing up so fast. Her teacher's name is Mrs. Brown and Journey is in her half-day class from 9-11:45 am. She loves to get rides to school from her dad on his motorcycle! Addison truly misses her sister when she's gone and can't wait for my phone to start singing "Funky town" by the Chipmunks because that is my alarm letting us know school is over. We're expecting great things this year for little miss Journey!<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjBjPCkOD0USQi-N9XVw0xseY2iHD9OL9WSctObmYdJsVnrzTzAScZ-lrFEo-36kOXU13n7lXh4Mx95CLUU2Lj5XrIGsCaSO1bbSRVBOxY2Z_0wQTGoZl5AM9AE1w9bCcfARzLSu0rL_lE/s1600-h/august+2008+071.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjBjPCkOD0USQi-N9XVw0xseY2iHD9OL9WSctObmYdJsVnrzTzAScZ-lrFEo-36kOXU13n7lXh4Mx95CLUU2Lj5XrIGsCaSO1bbSRVBOxY2Z_0wQTGoZl5AM9AE1w9bCcfARzLSu0rL_lE/s320/august+2008+071.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5239019127336441746" border="0" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhqo_FWD0yyH4js95YKgPTcLP0PrAnpENJrzVKWWUWN2G0mHgR-OraC5w_gRiNAvJmIejdyHDiwJcouQYI4aahixuBYqcgSxDsFfI1eYxALF2yhtPwpdFCoRfr3kWEQZazteRdKwUoJI8U/s1600-h/august+2008+072.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhqo_FWD0yyH4js95YKgPTcLP0PrAnpENJrzVKWWUWN2G0mHgR-OraC5w_gRiNAvJmIejdyHDiwJcouQYI4aahixuBYqcgSxDsFfI1eYxALF2yhtPwpdFCoRfr3kWEQZazteRdKwUoJI8U/s320/august+2008+072.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5239019427212620514" border="0" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj7Bawhn_BFgHtWvXfHBbYQqJbKkk8JeQe58Zd8d6Ccju45UPLyDzzKggz5D5Z-7XOP1z7tnKOOu-I8-3-Yk2u80vtszIxwbniEwXwVa-zp9EK-6mLI9GMhugEC4J30K9jQ8aUNYOy80dk/s1600-h/august+2008+073.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj7Bawhn_BFgHtWvXfHBbYQqJbKkk8JeQe58Zd8d6Ccju45UPLyDzzKggz5D5Z-7XOP1z7tnKOOu-I8-3-Yk2u80vtszIxwbniEwXwVa-zp9EK-6mLI9GMhugEC4J30K9jQ8aUNYOy80dk/s320/august+2008+073.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5239019607916176434" border="0" /></a>sarahgibbyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02915055583025538376noreply@blogger.com3
